OPTION A:
SENSITIVITY TRAINING WORKSHOPS FOR HR, MANAGERS, LEADERS, AND ASSOCIATES

Level 1 – Gender and Sexuality

OBJECTIVES:
To educate associates about the LGBTQIA population

> To introduce those who are part of the LGBTQIA community, identifying their main challenges and where their needs should be receiving more attention
> To demystify the possible drawbacks for the acceptance of sexual and gender plurality as well as mistaken concepts previously established about the subject
> To talk about important concepts such as body (genitalia), sexual-affective orientation, gender identity and expression, as well as to introduce the [SSEX BBOX] plurality card deck and game.
> Methods: the workshop’s methods and duration will depend on each institution’s needs and will include a theoretical, a practical, and an interactive stage.

Target Audience: employers, employees and associates (up to 50 participants)

 

Level 2 – The Importance of Intersectionality

OBJECTIVES:
To raise contributors’ awareness on identity marker intersections

> To further study concepts talked about in the first stage of the workshop with intersectionality markers such as race/ethnicity, disability and social class
> To raise awareness about the importance of maintaining an intersectional point-of-view among the collaborators, strengthening a mutual, cooperative and understanding policy
> To present basic concepts of social justice, human rights, restorative justice and non-violent communication
> Methods: the workshop’s methods and duration will depend on each institution’s needs and will include a theoretical, a practical, and an interactive stage.

Target Audience: employers, employees and associates (up to 50 participants)

OPTION B:
“MULTIPLIER” TRAINING – DIVERSITY TASK FORCE

Create a group of multipliers within the company (those who lead by example and fortify an attitude of social inclusivity and tolerance amongst those whom they lead), who will be the foundation of the embracing of diversity throughout the organization. This training is done through workshops with the selected group, including a number of practical, theoretical, and interactive activities. The objective is to mobilize the business’ managers and associates so that they are not only prepared to work with a diverse team but will also foster and maintain this diversity in the workplace.

Methods: the workshop’s methods and duration will depend on each institution’s needs and will include a theoretical, a practical, and an interactive stage.

Target Audience: employers, employees, and associates (up to 30 participants)

> To implement strategies on how to practice and replicate the content learned with role-played scenes on how to deal with day-to-day situations within the organization.
